How do I get a quotation?

Accepted Answer

Our quotes contain as few hidden costs as possible. Where possible, expected costs are included in the moving price. If this is not possible, you will find this under ‘not included’ and we will give you an indication of the expected costs where possible. An example of additional costs: a customs inspection may occur during an international move; Whether and how is determined by customs, not us. This may entail costs that we cannot (completely) foresee in advance.

How far in advance should I plan my move?

Once you accept our offer, we will plan the move together with you. We will inform you as best as possible about the (im)possibilities and make a realistic planning, taking your wishes into account.

Question 3

How long does the moving process take / How long will my belongings be in transit?

Accepted Answer

For a European move, we will be able to indicate the moving dates reasonably well in advance. When moving overseas, we are always dependent on more factors, such as shipping (arrival and departure times may change), customs clearance, etc. We always keep you as informed as possible throughout the entire process.

I am moving outside the EU. Who arranges the customs clearance?

We will inform you well in advance about the required documents. However, we do need your coöperation for this! Without your input we cannot arrange export or customs clearance. Ofcourse we know you already have enough on your mind during an international move. We therefore do our utmost to inform you as completely as possible and to make it as easy as possible for you. We also inform you about specific requirements in the country of destination. For example, whether certain items are prohibited and whether you can expect a quarantine or customs inspection.

How do I choose an international moving company?

Find out what is important to you, do you expect good service or do you mainly find the price important? Check reviews from other customers, for example via Klanten Vertellen. Check whether the moving company has an international network or which organizations it is affiliated with.

Question 6

Can I pack myself?

Accepted Answer

If you choose to pack (partly) yourself, we can supply the boxes and packing materials in advance if desired. The costs for this are included in our quotations.

Question 7

What should I do if there is damage?

Accepted Answer

We naturally try to prevent damage, but transporting your belongings entails risks. If you have taken out insurance, you can contact us in the event of damage within a week after the move. We will then process this claim and, if necessary, forward it to an external expert.

Question 8

What if I don't want to take all my belongings abroad?

Accepted Answer

We store belongings in our own warehouse in 20ft storage containers. Our hall is conditioned and secured.
